Dr. David M. Corr
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Dublin
A pioneer in nanomaterial science and nanotechnology with deep commercial experience, David is responsible for NTERA's commercial operations, as well as the operation of the Dublin design center.
David co-founded NTERA while working on his PhD thesis at the University College Dublin. David helped secure over $30 million in private equity investment in NTERA and was responsible for developing NTERA's academic and commercial relationships. Under his leadership, NTERA successfully transitioned from academic to commercial environment, including performing fundamental research breakthroughs while leveraging multimillion dollar grants from the European Union. David led the effort to develop the technology transfer processes for NTERA's technology, including successful transformation of an existing LCD manufacturing facility in Taiwan. Earlier, David worked as an engineering researcher with Wyeth Medica Ireland, responsible for technology transfer and new product introductions.
David holds bachelor's degrees in chemistry, mathematics and biology, a master's degree in business administration and a PhD in chemistry, University College Dublin. He is a widely recognized industry commentator (e.g., Asia Display Conference, Symposium for Information Displays, European Business Summit, Annual BCC Conference on Nanoparticles, numerous peer-reviewed publications) and inventor (10 patent families in the area of Nanoparticle electrochromics).
Dr. Alain C. Briançon
Chief Technology Officer
A technology visionary and strategic inventor with 25-years of expertise in wireless and semiconductor industries, Alain is responsible for NTERA's technology, engineering, and intellectual property strategy.
Alain most recently served as CTO of InterDigital Communications Corp (NASDAQ:IDCC), where he helped create and execute the company's technology roadmap, including leading its incubation efforts and university relationships. Alain identified and drove several strategic technology acquisitions which netted over $100MM in licensing revenue and helped increase the IP portfolio by nearly an order of magnitude to over 3000 patents and applications through acquisitions and organic growth. Earlier Alain led several groundbreaking multi-billion dollar initiatives at Motorola (NYSE:MOT), including the FLEX architecture responsible for opening China for wireless messaging, adopted as worldwide standard by over 90% of the messaging market and the mobile Java™ (J2ME) adoption for mobile applications. Alain also performed executive and technology functions with PageNet, BellSouth, and GTE Spacenet all involving creation, development and marketing of wireless communications systems. Prior to this, Alain worked as a researcher for COMSAT, including representing the United States to CCITT.
Alain holds a master's degree in electrical engineering and computer science as well as a PhD in electrical engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a recognized industry commentator (e.g., 3GSM World Congress, IEEE conferences, NSF SBIR panel, 20 publications, co-author on a book) and a prolific inventor (21 issued and 17 pending patent families).
Linda F. Montemayor
Chief Legal and Administrative Officer
With over 21 years of broad legal expertise, Ms. Montemayor is responsible for the legal and administrative functions of the Company. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Montemayor worked as an independent legal consultant providing legal services to corporate clients in the technology, pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries. Ms. Montemayor’s earlier tenure included serving as an executive and in-house counsel to a non-profit start-up involved in charitable fundraising for medical transplant support services and spending nearly a decade as divisional counsel for Saint-Gobain Corporation. She started her legal career associated with Morgan Lewis & Bockius in Philadelphia.
Ms. Montemayor has a bachelor’s of science degree in mathematics, magna cum laude, Bucknell University, PA and a law degree from Columbia University School of Law, NY.
