Process / Quality Engineer - 201006

 

Principal responsibilities and activities:

  • Establish appropriate attribute/variable parameters for a range of new products/systems and establish consistent methodology for quality control testing and quality assurance.
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure appropriate incoming quality and acceptance levels.
  • Carry out Process Capability studies of new and existing processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, e.g., lean techniques and optimized scale up.
  • Ongoing process and equipment development in terms of safety, maintenance and productivity.
  • Technical support of customers ensuring quality standards are understood, transferred appropriately and executed.
  • Internal coordination/liaison with development team to ensure appropriate control and introduction of any proposed changes to products and systems.

 

The successful candidate will have an Engineering Degree in Manufacturing/ Process/Mechanical or a related discipline. At least four years engineering experience from development, process, maintenance or project work in a process industry with ISO approved environment. Broad working knowledge of and experience in process development, validation, technical documentation, engineering standards and guidelines, e.g., regression testing and change control. Strong project management experience is also of benefit. Experience with coating would be a plus.

 

Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of people on a wide range of tasks are essential.

Some travel overseas, including travel between internal design centres, will be needed.  This position is based in Dublin, Ireland.
